Microcontroller Starter And Application Kits
Infineon microcontroller starter kits are a great way to get your embedded application or idea up and running fast. Based on the 12.5MIPS 16-bit C166 family, these kits offer various different versions of the C166 family from the low-cost processor-orientated C161 through the motor-control C164CI with CAN to the C167CR with a huge range of peripherals and digital IO. With a CPU performance roughly equivalent to a 33MHz 386SX and efficient C compilers, even the most demanding control and monitoring functions can be realised.
Each microcontroller board has 256kB of FLASH EPROM and SRAM plus a wire-wrap area, RS232 driver and CAN (C164CI and C167CR).
If your intial project or CPU evaluation exercise becomes a full scale commercial development, the C compilers and HiTOP debugger can be quickly upgraded to the full, unrestricted versions.
